Introduction

SFR Solicitors is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all parts of our business and supply chains. We have a zero-tolerance approach to any form of slavery, exploitation, or forced labour.

While we are not required to publish a statement under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 due to our current turnover, we choose to do so as part of our ethical and professional commitment to human rights.

Our Business

SFR Solicitors is a UK-based legal services provider authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. We assist victims of crime with compensation claims through the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA).

Our clients are often vulnerable individuals, including survivors of abuse, violence, and trafficking. As such, we are acutely aware of the risks posed by modern slavery and related exploitation.

Our Commitment

We aim to:

• Conduct our business with integrity, fairness, and transparency
• Promote awareness of modern slavery among our staff and clients
• Ensure our suppliers and service providers uphold ethical standards
• Support victims of exploitation through legal access and referrals
• Avoid relationships with individuals or organisations known to be involved in slavery or trafficking

Due Diligence and Supply Chains

Our direct supply chain is limited and primarily consists of:

• Professional service providers (e.g. barristers, interpreters, IT providers)
• Office suppliers and facility management
• Third-party managed accounts (TPMAs), software, and secure storage systems

We carry out informal due diligence on key providers and require third parties to confirm compliance with UK employment and human rights laws.

Training and Awareness

All staff are briefed on the signs of modern slavery and are encouraged to report any concerns internally or to appropriate authorities. Our caseworkers are also trained to identify and support victims of trafficking or exploitation, and make safeguarding referrals where appropriate.

Reporting Concerns

We encourage our team, clients, and stakeholders to raise concerns about any suspected breaches of human rights or ethical standards. Reports can be made confidentially to our management team.

Review and Approval

This statement will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect legal changes or developments in our practice.
